How to Push Yourself for A Better Body

 I am so exited to share my own views with you. When you exercise, do you push yourself hard enough? I know that at times it might feel like a torture.


"A Workout" and "THE Workout"

Some people want to believe, that they can develop great physiques and burn fat quickly with A minimal workout. Basically they like to fool themselves into thinking they can get the body they want with absolute minimal effort. 

If you go to your local fitness club, I’m pretty sure, you will see two types of people. People who come to train and workout and others who come to spend time at the gym. 
The most shocking thing I have seen was: somebody is sitting on a stationary cycle and reading a book, they just pedal on the easiest level possible and just continue reading a novel. That’s why a lot of people fail at loosing weight, they don’t put extra effort in to their workouts, they don’t push themselves hard enough.

To challenge myself to exercise better, harder and faster here are a few things that work for me. These are the thoughts and questions that come to my mind, that makes me motivated to push myself:

Am I too old for this? Just thinking that this is the highest bar I will ever reach makes me want to challenge that and train harder. 

Some day I will be like that. Challenge “Some Day” you and I know that “some day” will never come. I ask why not TODAY. Just do it, achieve it and be done with it.

Just like everybody else. I am not everybody, I am better, because I push myself. Don’t worry what they think about how you train. As long as you know what are you doing, the end result is what matters.

From my own experience I hate running, just absolutely do not like it. And to do HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) running, where you sprint for 15 sec then jog for 10 sec, than again sprint as fast as you can for 15 sec, and jog for 10, is giving me goose bumps. But still I do it. I know that if I just jog the same time in slow pace it will be just like a warm up and I will not burn much fat. 

Obviously someone who is just starting out with exercise after a long period of inactivity, will benefit from even a few short training sessions per week. Circuit training is a good method to consider in these cases. However, over time that individual will need to spike up or increase his/her training volume and possibly frequency, depending results they want. 

The train less, gain more mentality... I wish it was that easy.

I'm not suggesting that in order to gain more, you need to train more. I'm suggesting that you push and challenge yourself, and use the right blend of exercises, intensity, volume of exercises in your home workout, as well as training frequency!
